Individual access
Each Archeobase user has his own account and accesses it with his e-mail and password from any web browser (computer, tablet, smartphone). The accesses are thus individualized.
All data is linked to the person who inserts it. This ensures the tracking of additions and modifications. Moreover, the display of data and tables can be fully configured according to the needs of each user.
Institutions purchase individual accesses and distribute them to their employees who can access all the institution's interventions. The various rights (reading, writing, form creation, site configuration, etc.) can be assigned at the individual level and are fully configurable by the institution's administrator.
Included in an individual access
Each user has 100,000 forms included, which is more than sufficient for standard use.
The individual access holder has free storage space for 10 GB of data. This represents about 2000 pictures (average size, 5MB)
To be automatically displayed on the web map, the orthophotos must be tiled. Tiling of the first five orthophotos per user is free.
The exportation of data in Excel or Shapefile format is integrated. This enables transitivity between differents programs, if necessary.
For institutions: storage space and tiling capabilities correspond to the total amount offered by their members' individual accesses.
Limited additional costs for intensive use
The user only pays for the storage space he uses in addition to the quantities offered in an individual access. A monthly statement of quantities is calculated.
0.03 CHF per GB (approx. 200 photos)
The cost of tiling is CHF 0.008 per MB, which means CHF 0.15 for an orthophoto of size 20MB.
In case of increased needs, especially during large-scale data or archive imports, additional blocks of 100,000 forms can be activated for CHF 20.– per month.
Example: An institution with 7 users has 700,000 forms included. If it reaches 1 million forms, it exceeds the limit by 300,000, corresponding to 3 additional blocks. It will therefore pay CHF 60.– per month to cover the extra usage.
Monthly calculation example
An institution has ten employees and 50 archaeological sites in ArcheoBase. Every site has 1000 photos (average size of a photo, 5MB used for the example).
- Individual access price: 10 * 22 = CHF 220.-
- Quantity of photos: 50 sites * 1000 photos = 50'000 photos
- Photo storage size: 50'000 * 5 MB = 250 GB
Free storage included in individual access:
- 10 employees * 10 GB = 100 GB
Final storage cost
- Difference: 250 GB - 100 GB = 150 GB
- Monthly storage cost: 150 GB * 0.03 = CHF 4.50
Total monthly cost:
220 + 4.50 = CHF 224.50
Additional modules / functionalities
Prepaid daily accesses give the flexibility to have an individual access for the day, for example for an external person coming to a building site for a few days.
The price of a prepaid daily access is CHF 3.- per day. This type of daily access is reserved for temporary staff working at the institution for a period of less than six months during the current year.
The administrator registers the person in ArcheoBase and assigns the status of "temporary staff". The cost is then automatically calculated based on the number of days the user logs into the application.
The administrator can change this "temporary staff" account into a "permanent staff" account at any time, in order to benefit from the advantageous price of individual access with annual commitment.
